FARIBAULT WOOLEN MILL - ART DIRECTION

I have been lucky enough to work with an incredibly talented but tiny team for the creation of all four of Faribault Woolen Mills catalogs. Alongside the catalogs I also often create mini lookbooks that go out to retailers and customers for specialty promotions/collections.

The brand released their first catalog in January 2015 for their 'Heritage collection' where I acted as an assistant art director and stylist, I also photographed a handful of the lifestyle shots alongside local photographers Brandon Werth and William Clark. For the second catalog I was one of two Art Directors and the only on set wardrobe stylist. In comparison to the first catalog I worked on for Faribault Woolen Mill I was working with a brighter and more vibrant color palette for this seasons product and It was important that the new product stood out as being more daring, bold and modern than previous lines from the brand. The second catalog also released the launch of a higher end product 'Gray Label' which granted us to play with a more sophisticated and 'Ralph Lauren' (esque) style.

For the brands third catalog; 'January 2016', we combined the two previous catalogs together with the addition of the brands newly released 'recycled cotton' line and other updated and additional products. The recycled cotton line is lighter weight than the brands wool product and was designed with inspiration from nautical style products. I photographed and styled this line with the 'east coast' customer in mind focussing on a summery and coastal aesthetic (which was not all that easy given that we were shooting in the middle of November in Minnesota!!).
